From February 25-March 12, 2017, the medical mission volunteers will be offering free operations for children with cleft lip/cleft palate at Hospital 175 in Saigon. A second surgical team of head and neck specialists from the University of Maryland, will join us for the second week.
From March 4-12, the Primary Care team will fly to central Vietnam to work in remote areas near the Laos border providing medical/dental and vision care.
The Training team will instruct Vietnam healthcare professionals in neonatal care, treatment for children with special needs and cardiology care, working in Saigon and Hanoi for two weeks.
To date, PVNF has offered 1,853 operations and treated over 87,221 people in rural clinics. The training team has taught 8,800 health workers in pediatric and neonatal care.
