First, an update on PVNF's activities...
Public Health Update in Quang Tri Global Health Candidate, Andrew Nguyen, spent six weeks in Quang Tri following up on children with Anemia and Malnutrition identified in March. He found that the anemia was even worse than initially thought - 60.5% of children in the highlands. PVNF is sending another team next week, led by engineer Roger Lutz to address the issues and provide clean water, and supplemental nutrition.
Dr. Eichinger, PVNF board member, just returned from his trip to Quang Tri-central Vietnam, to promote initiatives addressing the multitude of cardiovascular problems in the region. He is passionate about equipping the local doctors with the knowledge and skills necessary to render care for the local people and implement public health outreach. PVNF's goal is to empower Vietnam professionals to address local problems.
